Lowering the mast to go under the bridge
A busy weekend for Pierpont Performance Sailing! On Saturday we had charter guests from Maui aboard Orange for a warm weather sail on a super calm sea. Beautiful high level clouds, great conversation, and use of every sail on board made for a really special day.
Sunday was spent coaching a young couple on their new trimaran, a Horstman 38. She’s berthed on the bay-side of the Harbor Drive Bridge, so she’s rigged to tabernacle the mast forward and slide just barely under. Exciting!
